Esplendor by Wyndham El Calafate

It’s about a 20-minute walk from the hotel to downtown, a little far, though the walk itself is pleasant. The front desk staff were patient, friendly, and helpful. I booked through the Wyndham website, but after forgetting my password I couldn’t log back into my account; their official platform is too difficult to use. My room felt dim, but the bedding was comfortable and the bathroom spacious. There’s a small sauna beside the hot tub. Breakfast was good, although the sliced fresh fruit wasn’t actually fresh.

The dinner and breakfast were both great, and the staff were professional and helpful. Nico and the others made us feel well looked after. Ionis was especially helpful with our luggage and gave us great information about El Califate. The room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed, and Hugo was so kind and patient when helping me with room service. It’s a beautiful, elegant hotel, and we had a great time in El Califate. We’d happily come back. Thanks to everyone!

We had dinner at the restaurant every night and really enjoyed it. The fresh bread and shrimp starter were especially delicious, and service was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, and the atmosphere was good. The spa was a nice place to warm up again. One suggestion: it’d be helpful to charge tips to the room, as you can at other hotels.

The spacious room, English-speaking staff, and well-designed lobby were positives. The breakfast was basic, the Wi-Fi poor, and the hotel is far from downtown. There’s no air conditioning or ventilation. We called a taxi ahead of time through the hotel’s cooperative program, but it arrived ten minutes late. The airport was especially busy that day, so we nearly missed our flights.
