Apart Cabaña La Unica

We spent 10 days at Cabaña La Única. It was comfortable for two, and the bathroom amenities were nice with hot water all the time. The pool was a good size, and the location near the center was great, we could walk there. A couple of things could’ve been better: we had to flip the mattress several times, and we like a firm one. The pool could use some maintenance. Otherwise, everything was fine.

We only rented the "cabin" for two nights, thankfully, because we’d booked somewhere else for the rest of our stay. It’s a studio apartment and smaller than it looks in the photos. Every site listing the place says that cabin has a pool, but we checked with the owner first and were told it was shared with another accommodation around the corner, with access to the back garden where the pool was. Once there, we found you had to go down a hallway, past the owners’ house where their laundry was hanging, and then you reached the pool. It belonged to them and was shared by the two cabins they rented. It was pretty inconvenient, so even though it was very hot, we only used it briefly one day. We slept terribly. The cabin was hot, and the fan above the bed barely moved air and made an incredible amount of noise. On the last night we had to switch it off, and then we were sweltering. With the fan noise unbearable, we couldn’t sleep. We only used the kitchen to heat milk, but it looked well equipped with plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, pots, and so on. The back room window faced the owners’ house, and their air conditioning vent was incredibly loud, along with a couple of other noises I think came from the pool filter or something similar. For what we paid per day, I thought it was expensive given all of this. They should at least offer breakfast for that price.

About 20 blocks from the center, the cabin is in a great spot and very peaceful. In the morning, all you hear is birds singing. It’s lovely, with a gas heater, hot water, a comfortable bathroom, a patio, grill for a great barbecue, and a covered carport. The view of Cerro Uritorco and Las Gemelas is breathtaking!

I own the La Unica cabin in Capilla del Monte. We’ve learned about a person called Maria Funes, with a Córdoba phone number starting 0351, who is scamming people by offering rentals for around 8,000 pesos per night. Please be careful.
