The park is beautifully cared for and bursts with color in autumn, and the breakfast was delicious. Sol provided excellent service. Our room and the shared spaces were spacious, attractive, and comfortable. It’s a lovely place to relax for a few days in Capilla del Señor, close to town. We’ll definitely return!

We had a decent stay, though the place didn’t quite match what we expected. At roughly 250,000 pesos a night with breakfast, about US$160, there’s plenty to like, but also a fair bit that could be improved. Sleep was excellent. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, with blackout curtains that keep the light out, and it’s very quiet at night. The air conditioning handles both heating and cooling, and we were comfortable. Hot and cold water worked fine. The TV has DirecTV but isn’t a smart TV, and internet is available around the property, though this is mostly somewhere to disconnect. Our mini-fridge had drinks in it but didn’t cool them at all, even on the highest setting. Maybe it had been unplugged before we arrived. Cleanliness needs attention. The curtains were damp, there was dirt in some spots, and the shower screen had soap residue left by previous guests that we had to scrape off. Service was the biggest frustration. We went to reception several times, during the day and at night, and nobody was there. I understand it’s a small operation and the reception staff also cook and serve tables, but it gets awkward when everything is handled over WhatsApp. The food situation was limiting. In theory, outside food isn’t allowed, yet there isn’t much available. There’s a set lunch and dinner menu that changes between day and night. The food is decent in taste and portion size, but a little pricey, with a breaded chicken cutlet and potatoes costing around 24,000 pesos. There’s nothing specifically for afternoon tea, just the same things served at breakfast, and nowhere to buy a snack or sandwich if you’re hungry after lunch or haven’t eaten lunch. Breakfast itself is basic: four pieces of toast, two croissants, cream cheese, jam, and fruit. No ham, cheese, or yogurt. We were told we couldn’t have more the first time, but could the second time. When we asked for extra bread on day one, we got the impression they were doing us a favor. They could make things easier with a shared table of bread, fruit, and croissants, plus coffee in a jug, like a mini buffet, so the server wouldn’t have to keep rushing around. In summer, it would be a nice touch to switch on the air conditioning before arriving guests get back from their trip. It costs nothing to have the room cool and ready. The pool needs work. Lots of tiles are loose and the decking is peeling. The poolside bar is closed, and guests aren’t allowed to eat or drink near the pool, though it doesn’t seem anyone checks. A small kiosk or someone serving juice and smoothies there could bring in more than room rentals alone. Calling it a “country inn” feels like a stretch. There aren’t any farm animals, just insects, birds, and a few cats. The grounds cover about 6 hectares and are well kept, with mown grass and trees here and there, but there’s no vegetable garden or anything that feels like a typical farm. The existing children’s play equipment is rusty and abandoned. Adding some usable play equipment and improving the service would make this a fantastic getaway. It’s a shame, because the place has so much potential with a few adjustments. I hope this feedback helps.

A pleasant place, though we ran into a few issues. There wasn’t enough hot water, breakfast started late, and they weren’t very flexible about using the common areas, even with a baby. Staying there a bit longer costs $10,000 per hour.

Quiet, lovely, simple, and comfortable, this place sits between Capilla del Señor and the countryside. The service was excellent, and it’s a great way to get away from the city’s bustle and reconnect with nature. One thing to plan for: most restaurants in Capilla are open Thursday through Sunday.

A huge grove of trees surrounds the property, which sits out in the countryside right beside Capilla. It’s a great spot for peace and quiet, while still only five minutes from Capilla.
