Los Remenizos Cabañas de Montaña

What a gem of a little cabin! I was nervous about staying somewhere fairly remote, but our time at Los Remenzisos was fantastic. Daniel was excellent at communicating and replied quickly on WhatsApp, even sending a hand-drawn map, photos, and videos of the cabin. Check-in and checkout were contact-free, with the keys left somewhere easy to access. There’s shaded parking right beside the cabin, plus a lovely shaded veranda with chairs and a hammock. Out back, the shaded al fresco dining area has seating for 10, an authentic Argentinian asado grill, a gas burner, and a swinging chair where you can watch wild parrots during the day and stars at night. The kitchen has a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, and everything needed to make a simple meal if you don’t want to drive to Belen for dinner. Bread, muffins, butter, jam, juice, water, and coffee were already there for breakfast when we arrived. The air-conditioning works very well, though the thick adobe walls keep the cabin cool naturally. There’s satellite TV, and we even found an English channel. Plenty of hot water, with good pressure. A lot of thought has gone into making the cabin cheerful and welcoming. It has enough beds for six, and a family could rent both side-by-side cabins for a group of 12 to have a lovely weekend together. Safe travels 🇨🇦
