It’s lovely to know Caniche and his family are still welcoming guests into their home in Caviahue. I stayed with them many nights in 1999 and 2000-2001. Such an amazing family.

Patricia and her family were incredibly kind when I ran into some problems. They helped me get through them, and I’m so grateful. The shelter itself is peaceful, fully equipped, and in a superb location, with a wonderful atmosphere and plenty of stories. I had an incredible stay. Hugs, and I highly recommend them.

The kitchen and dining area are great for sharing a meal and getting to know other people. The location is excellent, too. Caniche and his wife open their home to you and make you feel part of it from the start. A perfect place to feel at home in the mountains.

The place is run by the owners, and they welcome you wonderfully. There are antiques, photos, and letters from travelers everywhere, and some of the world's biggest motorcycle vloggers have stayed here. They have what you might need if you forgot to pack something, and the prices are the lowest in Caviahie!!! I’ll NEVER forget that they lent me a motorcycle so I could visit Salto del Agrio! INFINITE THANKS!!!
