This review is only about the private rooms offered by Hebe House Hostel. They’re in a separate location, so I can’t comment on the main hostel. The rooms are in a lovely little cabin, but weren’t worth the cost. Our booking was a little mixed up when we arrived, but they sorted it out and took us to the other location. A woman was cleaning there, with a couple of small children running around. She clearly told me they didn’t live there when I asked. But when we returned that night, she and the two children were still there. The little boy screamed and had tantrums through the night until around 12:30 am, when the children seemed to leave. The rooms are right beside the front door, so it was hard not to wake when the woman and someone else? got up around 7 in the morning. She spent much of the day using the shared living room and kitchen, and made me feel really uncomfortable, as though I was bothering her by trying to use the kitchen. At least the water was hot, which was nice.
