The staff were fantastic, always respectful and ready to help however they could. We booked at the last minute without knowing the place, encouraged by the reviews, and found it very comfortable, with lots to do. There's a games room with pool, and outside there's ping pong and foosball. The property has two pools, one heated indoor pool at 38°C that's ideal in winter, and a sunny outdoor one. There's also a restaurant above the administration building, a full breakfast, and a limited but very good lunch and dinner menu. The park has plenty of green space and a playground for children. My room had cable TV, a sofa, and a double bed. The upkeep of the tables, chairs, and general drainage was especially noticeable. Everything was excellent, and I have nothing negative to say. We'll definitely return and recommend it.

The breakfast was the best part: perfect, with lots of delicious options. The barbecue area is spacious and nice, though all the tables were broken. They dealt with our problem quickly and treated us well. The place is nearby, and what it offers is nice, but it was dirty and needs maintenance. The six-person cabins were new, unlike the rest of the place. The pool deck and several other areas were filthy. Reception staff were very, very inattentive. If you're not fussy and don't expect too much, it's fine and you can still have a good time. Just don't arrive with high expectations.

I'm giving one star because I can't give half a star. The price is exorbitant for the service, and it isn't worth it. The spa was closed, and the grounds were less large and spacious than the photos suggest. The pools were small for the number of guests, and day visitors sometimes used them too. The heated pool area was filthy, with cobwebs everywhere, including around the water jets and across the grounds. The rooms and apartments have only blackout curtains. They're fine at night, but during the day people can see inside if you open them. They could at least add fabric curtains. Some rooms have electric kettles and some don't. The dispenser water smelled terrible and seemed of dubious origin. Our bidet leaked and flooded the bathroom. The shower curtain didn't cover enough, the shower pressure was terrible, and the bathroom was covered in mold. The toilet brush was filthy, with what looked like old fecal matter on it. Absolutely disgusting. They say amenities are measured for the number of guests, but there wasn't a razor, paper towel roll, dish towel, or potholder. Toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, and soap, are limited to one per person every two days. If you have long hair, tough luck. Room cleaning is promised every 48 hours, but they don't do it unless you complain. The walls are like cardboard, so you hear everything. It's nice that the place allows pets, but there were far too many dogs compared with people. They fought and barked day and night. Some owners shouted “shut up” or “stop” and kept pulling constantly on leashes. Some guests don't like animals, and people don't feel respected when owners expect everyone to pet their pets or fail to pick up after them. Some guests also acted like they owned the place. At Las Lomas, apparently anything goes, from smoking in unauthorized areas to blasting music from speakers on lounge chairs, so everyone at the pool or in the park has to hear whatever they choose at whatever volume. Breakfast was chaotic. People crowded and fought over food, the coffee was always cold, and scrambled eggs were offered only one day a week. One woman told her husband they had to come earlier because there was only one batch of eggs. Children loaded their plates with all kinds of food and then wouldn't eat it. The food station should be somewhere everyone can reach it, instead of tucked into a corner. They could also assign half-hour time slots by room or apartment the day before, as many hotels do. At times, the place felt like a campground. There's no cell signal, and Wi-Fi never worked anywhere. You can't get to your apps, and DirecTV only had a couple of news and cartoon channels and two music channels. They clearly wanted a stylish place, but it's so neglected that it feels like a rip-off. The young staff were friendly, although Gonzalo, the receptionist, had terrible manners.

The food was very good. We had lunch there one day, and it was excellent. They serve lunch and dinner à la carte. The property itself is beautiful and could work well for a few days, with maintained grounds, tables, and grills. Since my last visit three years ago, they've added a lounge with board games, pool, foosball, cornhole, and ping pong, plus tables and covered grills. There are an outdoor pool and a heated pool. Unfortunately, the service was poor, and the place felt run-down and neglected. It was clear no one had checked our room before we arrived. When we pulled out the bed under the sofa bed, there was a piece of glass and a dirty blanket with bugs. The bathroom flooded when we used the bidet. The mini-fridge and small freezer weren't working, despite our having asked the day before whether there was a refrigerator because we were bringing meat. They offered to store everything in the hotel's fridge, but we had to ask them to replace the mini-fridge so we'd have cold water. The room lock jammed, so we had to use a key. They said they'd call a locksmith, but three hours later we were locked out, and they had to come at 9 PM to change the lock. On Saturday, they opened the pool and added chlorine at 11:00 AM, before the kids went in. That should be done at night. Wi-Fi never worked properly. I told the manager, who said it worked for him. I have Claro and had no signal there, so working Wi-Fi is crucial. I recommended the place after my visit three years ago, but I wouldn't anymore.

It's very expensive for what you get, and I wouldn't recommend it unless the service and cleanliness improve. The manager is unfriendly and offers tourists no help or guidance. Cleanliness is poor: the grills are left with used charcoal, there are cobwebs in the indoor pool, and the lounge chairs and windows are dirty. There are only a few worn wooden loungers, broken chairs in the apartment, and very few kitchen utensils. Breakfast is bland and basic, and the breakfast area is so small that everyone crowds together to get food. The gym is poorly equipped and doesn't even have the basics.
