We really don’t want to leave. It’s such a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, with a pool and fresh towels. The owners and staff were helpful throughout our stay. The fridge in our house wasn’t cooling properly, but they replaced it. The kitchen had dishes and a two-burner stovetop. They welcomed us with breakfast supplies: cookies, tea, milk, jams, and dulce de leche. We love this place ❤️🦋

We left the night before our stay was due to end, and after sending the owner a photo we never heard back. We weren’t refunded for the day we left, weren’t given an invoice for what we paid, and didn’t even get an apology. When we complained, the owner’s only response was to move us to a studio for the final night, despite our having paid for a two-room cabin. It also stood out that, in replies to negative reviews, the owner attacks paying guests instead of checking the cabins. And it seems odd to me that all the positive reviews come from users who have only reviewed this complex. We had expected much better from Torre Colón, but the conditions were so bad that we cut our trip short. Even the location posted on Instagram was wrong, which got things off to a bad start. Our cabin, number 10, was damp and musty, with stained walls. The water heaters leaked, had no proper ventilation, and didn’t meet safety standards. The electrical wiring was faulty too, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work. The linens were dirty. The towels were old and yellowed, and so were the sheets and curtains. The grill couldn’t be used, and the utensils were greasy. There were cockroaches and fleas, which was completely unacceptable. The dampness felt unhealthy, especially for those of us with allergies. Maybe it’s hard to see in my photos because they hid it behind a piece of furniture. The pools were dirty, the lounge chairs were broken, and the deck was rotten and full of rusty nails. The Wi-Fi didn’t work there either. The whole complex seemed neglected, with no maintenance and a real lack of responsibility. It’s a shame, because the surroundings could be beautiful if they looked after the place. As it is, it felt unsanitary and unsafe, far from what’s promised, and it ruined our weekend.

Our first visit was a lovely one. The owner was very attentive, and the cabins were clean, fresh-smelling, and equipped with the essentials. It’s a welcoming, peaceful spot with a wonderful park, close to both the town center and the hot springs. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Highly recommended.

There was plenty of green space and places for recreation, and the owners were attentive to whatever we needed. We came with four children, and they loved the pools. Our cabin had everything we needed for the stay. Highly recommended.
