Lacandona Hostel

There's free luggage storage after checkout, which was useful. The hostel is open by call bell for access around the clock, but they don't give out keys. The air-con remote stays behind the desk, and they'll let you use it at night. Rooms are clean and adequate, with bedding and a blanket. The location is great, close to the Guimes district nightlife and bars. One male and one female bathroom serve all guests, so getting in during busy times can be difficult.

They let me hang around the hostel all day after checkout at no extra charge because my bus from the terminal wasn't until 11pm. I just had to take my things out of the room. The place is friendly and nice, with 24-hour reception, clean facilities, good WiFi and comfortable beds. Breakfast isn't included, but lots of things are within walking distance.

I planned to stay a few days and ended up staying two weeks longer. I could work and teach online in the hostel's private living room without noise or distractions, and the internet was fast and reliable. The dorm was spacious and clean, and the whole hostel stayed clean. Staff were always attentive and followed Covid protocols. The location is excellent, close to amenities, so you don't have to walk far for what you need. I had such a fun time here and highly recommend it if you're visiting Cordoba.

Fantastic location and very friendly staff, but that's pretty much where the positives end. There was no atmosphere and it felt overpriced. On the first night the staff had a barbecue, and I had to leave because the smoke smell filled the room.
