4/10
The staff were kind and helpful, but I didn’t feel the hostel was worth what I paid. There was no running water during my stay, so I couldn’t shower, drink, or cook, and the bathrooms were pretty dirty too. The dorm felt cramped for the number of people. Our six-bed room had only two outlets, and a bookshelf blocked the ladder to my top bunk, which made getting up there difficult and unsafe.

The hostel feels warm and cosy, and the employees were so friendly and keen to help that I had a great stay. Do try the pie, it’s delicious. If you’re lucky, the volunteer who makes it will still be working there.

It’s a nice, affordable place. You can hear people chatting in other rooms, and the showers weren’t quite what I expected, though at least the water was hot.

There are lots of places to sit, and it’s about a 10-minute walk to the center. The hostel is warm and really clean, and the crew are the best.
