The family running this place is lovely and really attentive to making guests comfortable. For a backpacker's budget, you get a great little house, plus three barbecue spots and a pool. The value for money is incredible.

The apartments are attached, and we could hear the other guests' voices very clearly. Nobody made that clear to us beforehand. When I said I was leaving after two days because the place wasn't what I expected, the owner got angry and charged me for another day because I hadn't told him earlier. His manner was curt. There were plenty of problems with the place itself: it smelled strongly of something strange, the stoves were all crammed together with no privacy, and the pool looked unhygienic, so I didn't want to use it. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. If you're looking for a quiet, private place to relax, this isn't it. Ask questions before you go. Sometimes paying a little more is worth avoiding these problems when you're trying to enjoy a few days.

The patio was lovely, full of plants, with grills, and the pool was nice and refreshing, though it could've been cleaner. There was a fan, a small heater we didn't use in summer, plenty of electrical outlets, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The kitchen had a nice hill view, but you could see in through all the windows. The bedroom and kitchen had curtains, while the bathroom window, right by the shower, had none. It was uncomfortable knowing the neighbors could see me. The location isn't central, though it's not far from the main square. A car makes getting around much easier. We rented an apartment for two, which had been described to us as a brand-new studio. On the first night we found that two of the three windows were broken and wouldn't close. The floor hadn't been swept properly, with dirt by the bed and cobwebs on the ceilings. Nobody told us we'd have to climb stairs to get in, something guests should know, especially if they have mobility issues. At arrival there was a sign with some clarifications, but the Wi-Fi password on it was wrong. Soap and toilet paper were supplied just once; we got one partly used roll. The pillows were flat. There were extras, but no pillowcases for them, which was unpleasant. Each person got one bath towel, stained and frayed, and there was only one hand and face towel. There was nowhere to hang bath towels in the bathroom. The hooks seemed to have been removed, leaving just screw holes. The bathroom door didn't shut properly and swung open with the slightest breeze. In the early morning, the wall started shaking for reasons we couldn't figure out, and the bed moved too. This happened on two nights, for at least half an hour each time. When we asked directly about it, they ignored the question. Karim sounded attentive and friendly on the phone, though he prefers voice messages to writing. In person, we got a different impression. He came to "help" with a problem, acted like he owned the place, and left without solving it. There were two large shelves for clothes, an armchair, a TV, and a bar with high stools for eating. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, though some spatulas were a little melted and the knives were practically blunt. The pots were good, and there were dishwashing supplies and matches. It also had a kettle, mate gourd, bombilla (metal straw), yerba mate, and sugar, but no salt or cooking oil. There were cups, glasses, a pitcher, and several kinds of plates, and the fridge did its job. It's fine if all you need is a place to sleep, but too many small problems made the stay disappointing. We left feeling we could have found somewhere better for the same price.

The pool and grills were fantastic, and the location was great. It's a lovely duplex with a cabin-like layout. One owner was excellent, the other just okay. Construction workers across the street were a bit noisy, but nothing major, and the internet wasn't great. I don't mind being offline, though. A few small things could be improved. Thanks for everything, I recommend it!
