The breakfast was a letdown: there was nothing savory, just sweet food and a little fruit, and the same pastry was served two days in a row, not fresh. Eggs were kept in a plastic container that didn’t seem easy to wash properly. I ended up buying my own breakfast at a store, especially since this place isn’t cheap. Earlier, our friend was feeling unwell and asked the man at reception for a tea bag late at night, but he refused, saying there was no tea. Yet there was plenty at breakfast the next morning. The rooms are old and badly maintained, with loose doorknobs and dirty sheets. We found hairs on the linen. Staff barely respond, if at all. The location is okay, but reading the 4.2 rating made me wonder whether those reviewers stayed in the same place.

Mauricio runs the hotel very well, and the service was great. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The reception staff were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast kept us full. Though the room was old, it was warm and clean. We liked the place more than we expected: it’s about a 10-minute walk to the CBD and 20 minutes to the bus terminal. A really nice stay.

Breakfast was pretty mediocre, and I didn’t sleep well because the bed in the room we moved to was so bad. The shower water also wouldn’t drain. There were cobwebs, and the rooms are generally very old and need a lot of maintenance. You get what you pay for, I suppose. If you’re on a budget, you could stay here, but know it isn’t the best.

The room was clean and cozy, and the temperature was great. Breakfast was good too. The people working here speak English and can suggest trips or places to see. They also looked after our backpacks for a few hours after checkout while we still had time in the city.
