Patagonia Suites

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was very basic. There was a small distant view of the lake, plus a pleasant outdoor seating area. We could use the kitchen, though it needed more tools, and parking was good. They accept credit cards, which was handy. Our room was spacious, and we were lucky to get a family room. It stayed warm with good heating, and the shower had strong pressure, but the drain was slow. I also had to mention a missing bathroom bulb, which I hope has been fixed. Sound carries easily between rooms. The hotel sits on a dusty road, as is common around Patagonia, but it's conveniently about a 10-minute walk to both the bus station and town center. A good place overall, with a few small issues.

Really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were big and clean, the bed was good, and it was quiet with a nice shower. Breakfast was served by a cheerful woman.

The shared kitchen is useful if you're looking for a cheaper place and want to make your own meal. Our room was clean, cozy, and warm enough, with an okay bathroom, but the walls were thin and we heard the neighbors. We were told breakfast was included. We paid $33 for one night in December 2024 through a promotion, and showed the older woman at reception the booking app in Spanish, but she still said breakfast would make the price $45. She accepted dollars in cash and only spoke Spanish. The breakfast didn't look very good anyway, so the whole thing felt a bit like a scam. Check the details at reception. I can confirm what other visitors have said.

The breakfast was a letdown for such a nice setting: it was just toast with butter and jam. Otherwise, these were some of the best rooms we stayed in in South America. The rooms were really nice, with great beds and baths, smooth walls instead of just painted OSB boards, fast internet, and (Spanish) Direct TV. Both times, we also had a third bed, which was handy for luggage. The heating couldn't quite warm the room when it was cold, though that was common on our travels.
