Barbara was the kindest host, and the apartments were beautiful and super clean. Check-in was contactless, and she shared loads of great hiking and dining recommendations plus useful information about El Chaltén. I’d absolutely recommend staying in Barbara's apartments, Águila Mora. You’ll be glad you did! 🤩💯🏞️

A clean, comfortable room for the two nights I was hiking FitzRoy. If you have rolling luggage, taking a taxi from the bus terminal is easier.

For a couple, it worked out a little cheaper than getting a private hostel room in El Chalten, and it was a really comfortable stay. Everything was in tip-top condition, and the owners were friendly, helpful, and attentive. They also make a damn good lemon cake 🤩

We visited in winter, and Barbara is the reason we’d stay again. She was on holiday herself but stayed in touch and helped us a lot when the only bridge for driving out of El Chalten broke. Thanks for everything, Barbara! The apartment isn’t huge, but there’s plenty of room for two, and it was clean with most of what you need. Entry is by number code, and the start of the hike to laguna de Torre is only a few minutes away.
