Our cabin was the smallest one, nearest the road, but the view was great. The other cabins sit more among the trees. There are different sizes to choose from, and ours was modern, very clean, and well looked after. It had a fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, TV, and a grill. The towels and linens were hotel quality, and robes were provided for the pool. The pool and its view were the best part, with plenty of places to sit.

The pool was spotless and had a spectacular view, though the water felt too cool given the low temperatures outside. In our two-person suite, the heating was very good and the shower had excellent pressure and temperature. Still, the price didn't feel right for what we got. We found dirty sheets when we went to bed on the first night. Housekeeping replaced them the next day, but we had to spend that first night with them. The suite is right on the main road, so traffic is audible all the time. Dogs also bark constantly, including at night and very early in the morning. The parking area needs better lighting too. We had to use our phone flashlights to walk from the car to the room.

During our trip we stayed at around half a dozen places in Patagonia, all good, but Arroyo Escondido was the only one that made me want to cut excursions short so I could get back to enjoy the surroundings and the water features. Congratulations to the owners. I highly recommend it. We were a couple in cabin number 5, which can sleep more people. I loved its setting in the forest, the pond with aquatic plants at the entrance, and the easy walk to the heated indoor pool. The pool was comfortable and looked out over the valley. Inside, the cabin was bright, with a well-equipped kitchen, warm wood details, radiator and boiler heating, and a hot tub with strong water pressure and a nice touch of bath salts. The beds, linens, and supplies were all good. The resort is in my favorite part of the region, between Trevelin and Esquel and near the main entrance to Los Alerces National Park. Having your own transportation is helpful.

The owners were kind and quick to help when we left something behind. They contacted us right away and got it back to us. The place itself is peaceful, beautifully kept, and surrounded by gorgeous scenery. It's easy to reach and close to the center, and the pool has an incredible view.

The park is lovely, with lots of trees and striking views, and I liked the heated pool. But if you're traveling by car, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The local road from reception to the cabins is steep and poorly maintained. On our third day, I damaged my car while trying to leave. Although we'd paid for 7 days, we decided to go. The owners told us to take a taxi, and even though the complex was almost empty, they wouldn't refund the unused days. They should make clear that getting around by car is advisable.
