I usually don't have almost only bad things to say about a stay, but this property left me with little else to say. We hardly saw any staff, and the few interactions we had were short and came across as a bit rude, like we were an unwelcome interruption. The house was small, every tap leaked, and the bathroom was damp and smelled moldy. The kitchen had nothing in it, not even salt. Leaving was a mess too. Nobody was there, so we called the number at reception and were told to put the key and cash in the mailbox. We didn't have enough local cash and wanted a receipt, so they suggested a bank transfer. We agreed and set off, then got several texts asking us to come back and pay by credit card instead of doing the transfer the proprietor had suggested. We turned around and waited for him. He charged 10% extra for the card without telling us ahead of time, then made it sound like our fault. The value was already so-so, and the surcharge and attitude left us feeling ripped off. I'd avoid it and choose one of the nicer-looking cabaña complexes in the same neighborhood.

The basics were there, and there was cable TV, but I really wouldn't recommend staying here. The bungalow was a complete pigsty when we arrived on time, and the owner rudely told us to wait. We then waited two and a half hours for the cleaner, whose job should already have been done. She also came into the house while we were out, even though we'd said we didn't want cleaning. The owner was rude, arrogant, extremely unhelpful, and acted as if he couldn't speak English. He'd roam around at night and spy on us, and he stared at us. The shower barely worked, the Wi-Fi barely reached the bungalow and kept dropping out, and the beds were terrible. My back took a week to recover.

Cute little cottage, great price, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The cabin was big and comfortable, and spotless clean.

We had a fantastic week staying at La Cautiva while visiting the tulip fields. Rodrigo looked after us and answered all our questions. The staff were helpful and made us comfortable, and they also run Autos del Pueblo, where they rented us a car for the stay. Prices were very good, and the barbecue area was great for a delicious asado. Parking was right in front of our cabin. Thank you so much! 1000% recommended.
