La Chakana Humahuaca

The hosts were very attentive, and it was convenient to leave our car there while we took the bus to Iruya. The apartment is spacious and very nice, just a short walk from the center of Humahuaca. I’d recommend staying here.

A quiet, comfortable apartment with lots of light and good water pressure. Eva was kind and attentive. It’s a great place to spend a couple of days in Humahuaca.

It’s a good option if you’re coming by car, and you can drive up the hill to Hornocal the next day in around 40 minutes. The apartment was clean and spacious, with good hot water. Eva gave us clear directions, so we found the place without trouble. Breakfast is basic, but enough for us.

We spent two days here on our way from Cordoba to Iruye. Even though we booked at the last minute, Eva was quick to respond, and we had a great stay. The place has the modern amenities we needed and is in a safe area close to town. Everyone, including the dogs, was friendly day and night. We enjoyed using the grill and oven, but bring your own charcoal. We mistook the bag of cement under the grill for charcoal! There are amazing starry skies from the side roads around town. We’d recommend the 7km hike up the mountain past Peña Blanca and back around town, as well as the 14 colored mountain with a 4x4 guide. We’d love to stay again.
