Mérit Parque Leloir by Amérian

Room service was the bright spot: very good, generous portions, and reasonably priced. The hotel itself is fine, but reception staff are unfriendly and not helpful. Breakfast and the area where it’s served were disappointing. For a hotel in this category, it should have a pool, and parking should be included in the room price.

The staff were excellent, but they couldn’t make up for how frustrating the stay was. I completed the online check-in after getting an email, then had to do it all over again at the hotel, losing more than 25 minutes. Why ask for it online if I have to repeat it in person? The Wi-Fi barely worked in the hallway and had no signal in the room. There was a smart TV, but no internet, cable, or even digital terrestrial TV. I was also charged for parking, which felt shameful. The shower head was clogged and sprayed water everywhere, so I had to take it apart, clean it, and put it back together before I could shower. On Monday morning the water was only lukewarm, with no way to get it hot. The hallway wall on the way to the room was peeling, an eyesore that could have been fixed with a little filler and paint. This is meant to be a hotel from a major chain, not a guesthouse. I wouldn’t come back.

The staff at the entrance were excellent, and so were the guys at the buffet and terrace. It’s a quiet place with some comforts, and I was very satisfied with the service and the stay. There were a few issues, though: water leaked from the shower, and sometimes our towels weren’t changed or we weren’t given as many as before.
