We stayed at the Eleonora cottage, now the Las Camelias complex, and had a really satisfying visit. It was clean, tidy, and so well equipped that we didn't need to take the car anywhere. The setting is peaceful, cool, and comfortable, and the owners were always available to help make our stay enjoyable. If you want quiet in a natural, cool environment, this is the place. I wouldn't recommend it at all. You can hear everything from the neighboring cabin, and there weren't even basics like trash bags, a waste container, or toilet paper. We booked a cabin for three, but it was set up for two, with a few old, dirty utensils, including just two forks for three people. The owner's partner gave very poor service, and I was really unhappy with the attention.
The staff seemed friendly, but we chose not to stay and went looking for somewhere more comfortable. I'd booked for three, and although the cabin looked just like the photos, it didn't offer the comfort I needed. The double bed's box spring was worn out, the floors were very noisy, the kitchen was too basic, and the curtains didn't give enough privacy. It just wasn't a good place to rest.
For a truly restful break, this place is ideal: peaceful, with absolute quiet, and Pierluigi and Carolina are so kind and attentive. It's like a forest only a few blocks from the city center, with a mix of wild vegetation and buildings from both old and new eras. Really interesting.
The owners are friendly, and the location is good. I found the smaller cabins neither very nice nor comfortable. The larger one is comfortable, but costs a lot compared with other options in La Cumbre. Wi-Fi is only available by the pool, so adding a repeater would help.
