Dazzler by Wyndham La Plata

The restaurant's food, drinks, and hospitality were better than I expected, and the staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and beautiful, with gorgeous views of the square and cathedral.

Easy to walk from here to the sights, outdoor parks, and reputable restaurants. Great location.

I wasn't comfortable with the experience of leaving my credit card details where anyone could read them. They even ask for the three digit security code. I might come back if they change that policy.

The room was lovely, and the breakfast buffet upstairs was superb. I’m giving a neutral rating because there are still things to improve, especially for a hotel in this category. The reception agreed to a late checkout until 12 PM. But at 11, while I was in the shower, the housekeeper from the 8th floor knocked and came into my room without permission. I had to ask her to come back later. She knocked again at 11:30 and rudely insisted that I had to leave. When I explained that I’d arranged a late checkout, she asked what time and then left. She should have been told about the arrangement, but that still doesn't excuse how rude she was to a guest. Everyone else at the hotel was extremely nice to me, so this seemed like an isolated incident. Aside from the gym, there isn't really a shared space to relax or work, and the restaurant upstairs isn't ready yet. It only opens for breakfast. For a couple of nights in La Plata, it could suit you if you want a comfortable room and a good breakfast with a lovely view of the cathedral. For a longer stay or if you want more amenities, I'd suggest somewhere else. At the moment, you'll mostly be in your room when you're at the hotel, or out elsewhere in the city. I know they're working to improve the spaces and amenities, and I hope they can bring the experience up to the level a company like Wyndham can offer. I'd love to visit again and give it five stars.
