XV Apartamentos

We stayed from 30/11/25 to 02/12/25 at Airbnb XV apartamentos in La Plata, Argentina, and didn’t have a good experience. Apartment 102 is a duplex with only two rooms and one bathroom, and five people felt cramped in it. Entry is by Forze app code. The apartment has a fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, basic kitchen utensils, all 220V, plus sheets and blankets. The location is very good, with restaurants, a bakery, supermarkets, small grocery stores, a lottery shop, and real estate agencies easy to reach. There’s no laundry, washing machine, or place to dry clothes, so I wouldn’t stay more than a few days. We had trouble sorting out payment because the owner had already left when we arrived, then sent us lots of messages the next day to settle the stay. My flight wasn’t until the evening, and checkout was at 11:00, so I asked if we could stay until at least 14:00 or 15:00. The owner agreed, but charged almost the price of a night for those extra four hours and kept pressuring us to leave at 15:00, saying another guest was coming. Our access code was cancelled before the agreed time was up. We could only get back in because one of my daughters chose to stay in the apartment while we went for coffee. That part was awful.

We’d travelled 1700 km when we arrived, only to find that our booking still hadn’t been confirmed, even though I’d paid for the whole reservation a month and a half earlier. At first, the person I’d been in contact with offered to refund me and told me to find somewhere else, which was impossible on a long weekend. They then said they’d arrange another place, so we spent the first night elsewhere. The apartment was provided the next day. In short, booking with them isn’t reliable.

A HUGE SCAM. The advertised photos don’t match what you get. They take the full payment upfront, then won’t refund you when you arrive. Management doesn’t respond or take responsibility, and the receptionist was disrespectful, laughing at and mocking you.

They’d fixed the sofa, even though the girl had said it was broken, and it was really comfortable. Such a great place, five stars!
