Acuarius Hotel

The hotel is in terrible shape. They confirmed over the phone that there was a garage, then on arrival said the parking was on the street. They even call that street parking. On top of that, they charged an extra 30,000 pesos for room insurance without telling me beforehand. Awful place. I'd give it less than one star if I could.

The location is the one good thing. The rooms are dark and smell damp and musty, and every shower leaves the bathroom wet because the shower falls right over the toilet. You have to ask them to turn on the air conditioning since they don't provide the remote, and the fan wasn't working. They say they have parking, but you actually leave the car on the street. The TV remote was broken; after we complained, they took a day to replace its batteries. At 3 pm one day, we had to ask for our room to be cleaned because it still hadn't been done. They didn't leave us extra toilet paper either. The staff weren't friendly.

The reception staff were good, and the location is the strongest point. But the rooms are very dark and damp, with a musty smell, and the breakfast is pretty poor. The price is quite low, so you can't expect much for what you pay. The negative reviews are justified.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely book here again. It's a simple, comfortable hotel, spotlessly clean, with incredibly friendly staff.
