That slow Wi-Fi was my one gripe. I couldn’t spend all day on my phone, though maybe that wasn’t such a bad thing. The staff were warm and attentive, and the room was comfortable with very hot showers. Antiques fill the main dining area, giving it a charming, interesting feel.

For about 20$ USD, this refugia felt like a 5 star hotel to me, and breakfast was included. The rate was excellent for the quality, with kind, patient, welcoming service at reception for moto and bicycle travelers.

The staff are really nice, and the place looks inviting, but it’s very expensive compared with other places in Argentina. At that price, I expected the Wi-Fi to work in the rooms. It only worked a little sometimes. The room and floor were surprisingly cold, too. There was a heater in the room and another in the bathroom, but neither worked. Breakfast costs 500 pesos, although Google shows it as free. It’s basic, just some bread with butter and jam, and the bread was dry like everywhere in south america. The coffee was very good, but breakfast could use something like joghurt, fruit, eggs, or fruit juce.

We had a warm shower and even heating in our room. The place is beautiful and really comfortable, the staff are friendly, and breakfast was good. Best place to stay in La Quiaca.
