Hotel M

I was in Mendoza for a few days and mostly just needed somewhere to sleep, so the hotel worked for that. It's central, though the area is commercial and not especially quiet. The bed was comfortable, service was good, and luggage storage before and after check-in was really convenient. My room didn't have a hairdryer, though I don't know if others do. Breakfast was simple: toast, ham and cheese, croissants, pastries, and tea or coffee. No fresh fruit, just apple salad. I spent most of my time out sightseeing, so I wasn't at the hotel much. I'd recommend it for a stay like that.

The reception staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. The hotel itself is very nice and new, and the rooms are comfortable. But the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired for something advertised as premium: just coffee, powdered juice, bread, and croissants, and the coffee was ice cold. We asked for hot water for our mate and were told they'd been without an electric kettle for two weeks. A hotel with 65 rooms can't afford one that costs 20,000 pesos in the city center? They only provide the minibar and hairdryer if you ask, even though those are advertised as included.

The elevators can slow you down when the hotel is busy. There are only two, and each is small enough for about two people. Breakfast is fine, though it gets crowded at peak times and cups or other things sometimes run out. We were two couples staying over Easter 2026, and found the rooms spacious, comfortable, and attractive, with excellent beds and pillows. They’ll give you fresh towels daily if you ask, along with soap, shampoo, and conditioner, though those weren’t the best. For cleaning, just leave your key card and ask. For the price, the service is excellent and the amenities are adequate. I recommend it.

The receptionists were excellent, but they couldn’t make up for the poor facilities and service. Our room didn’t look like the photo, the switches were broken, wires hung everywhere, and the shower barely trickled. Breakfast photos showed fruit, but there was none. When I asked, they said they’d forgotten to buy it, and apparently forgot for three days in a row. I wouldn’t return or recommend this place.
