Hosteria Isabel

The breakfast area has a great vibe, and they even lent me a beach chair for the day. They were brilliant about it. There's secure parking right out front, too. The rooms are spotless, with a spacious bathroom and a good shower, and the staff are very friendly with top-notch service. Excellent guesthouse. I'd definitely come back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The shared fridge was handy for our own food, and there's also a small oven, a microwave, and access to the breakfast area all day. We could make a sandwich and stay in for dinner, which was a big plus. Breakfast itself is very basic: toast, cake, a croissant, coffee or tea, and fruit salad that wasn't very good but was adequate. If you like a classic breakfast, it's fine. I prefer something more alternative, so it wasn't ideal for me. We booked through Booking.com because we had few options and ended up at Hostería Isabel. It's a 2-star hotel, but much better than others in that category where I've stayed. Everything was spotless, and the towels were good quality, which you don't always get at this level. Kudos to Isabel! The place is welcoming and charming, with simple details that make it pleasant. Everything is simple but well maintained and nice to look at. Our main issue was the bed. The mattress sagged quite a bit on both sides, so we didn't sleep very well. Also, the double beds are only 1.40 meters wide, which is worth knowing. We were in room 5, where the only window looks onto the stairwell. People pass by there, so there was some noise and not much privacy. It was uncomfortable to leave the window open. I'd recommend it for a short stay of 1 or 2 nights.

The terrace where breakfast is served was the highlight, along with the lovely hospitality from Isabel and her family. We came for a weekend at the caves and found a beautiful place, decorated with a lot of taste. The spaces are bright and simple, and the rooms are comfortable, with ceiling fans and air conditioning. Street-facing rooms get a bit of noise, but we still slept well.

Everything was fantastic, and the price was great. Isabel welcomed us so warmly and gave us a spotless, well-equipped apartment close to both the beach and town center. Parking was included in the same price, too. Thank you, Isabel!
