The people are what made Viamonte feel unforgettable. Victoria, Ana, Julieta, Marcelo, Valentina, and María were all warm and professional, and every exchange felt sincere and personal. On our last day, Lautaro led a wine tasting that we'll be talking about for years. He made the wines, the terroir, and the history of Malbec in Luján de Cuyo fascinating and fun, and we went home with a deeper appreciation for Mendoza wine and a few bottles. The setting is beautiful too, with vineyards running toward the Andes, lovely rooms, and golden light over the vines. We stayed at Viamonte Winery Lodge in Luján de Cuyo as a base for Mendoza wine country, and it exceeded our expectations. If you visit, make sure to book the tasting with Lautaro. Gracias a todo el equipo de Viamonte. Nos llevamos un pedacito de este lugar en el corazón.

Julieta shared fantastic information about the vineyard during our tasting. My wife and I really enjoyed it, especially with those magnificent views of the snow-capped mountains. We loved this vineyard.

The Andes views are beautiful, and the area is lovely. There’s a nice restaurant and wine tours, so it’s worth a visit.

The view is spectacular, and the place is very nicely decorated, but it badly needs better organization. We had booked Sunset a month ahead, yet as the third or fourth group to arrive, we were refused seats because they said the tables for four had just filled up. That seemed odd for a venue that seats 350. The shredded beef sandwich was okay, but the wine included with the ticket was far below what you'd expect in Mendoza, especially with a USD 50 per person entrance fee. The wait staff kept contradicting one another. The event was scheduled until midnight, but we left at 9:30 p.m. Service, food, and drinks were poor. The bar said it had no water for sale, though we eventually managed to get some. I think there must be a similar place with better service.

Lautaro was kind and friendly on the guided tour, and the views from this beautiful place were incredible. Afterward we had lunch at the restaurant. Everything tasted delicious, and the service was great 🤩
