Intersur Hotel La Cumbre

If quiet rest is what you’re after, this hotel is a great fit. For nightlife or more river activities nearby, I’d look elsewhere, since La Cumbre doesn’t offer much to help with that. It’s a good hotel, but after coming back for the first time in 10 years, I felt some of its charm had faded and that it was falling behind. The entertainment selection is pretty limited, and there are quite a few other things that aren’t so good.

The recreation instructors stood out most for us. Their service was impressive, and the waiters, security staff, housekeeping and parking staff were all excellent too. It’s a very comfortable hotel, with friendly people all around. From Tuesday through Sunday there are events to choose from, including a Saturday horseback ride that works well for the whole family. We also went to the Monkey Temple, which was a very good experience, and did the Rosario Adventure. The service there was excellent, and the route was very suitable for families. One small improvement: it would be handy to rent paddles and balls for the paddle tennis and bocce courts. And having the pool bar open again would save the inconvenient trip upstairs to order drinks or other things. Thank you!

The lifeguards were so friendly, and we really enjoyed the heated pool, even though I’d have liked it a degree warmer. Everything here deserves a 10/10. The whole staff were kind and attentive, with the restaurant team especially standing out. The food was excellent too.

The location is nice and quiet, with places to eat close by, and you can walk to a tourist spot like Christ the Redeemer. There isn’t much to do in town itself, though. We had a very good, relaxing stay. The breakfast had a good range of items, but I’d suggest adding a healthier choice like scrambled or hard-boiled eggs, along with a toaster. The restaurant food was excellent, portions were generous and prices reasonable. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the rooms and facilities were spotless when we arrived. Holiday activities for both children and adults are a big plus.
