Terranova Glamping

We came back in January with our daughters after loving our stay as a couple in December. There were 18 of us for my birthday, and the staff, service, location, and comfortable tents were all excellent. Fernando deserves a special mention for organizing our stay, and the entertainment team kept the little ones busy. The spa was good too. One thing to know: even with heating and cooling in the tents, going inside on a summer day is unbearably hot, like putting an ice cube in the sun. It usually cools down quite a bit at night, and with the heating on we were comfortable. We'll definitely return for a fourth visit someday.

We had a unique family experience here. The large pool was great, and the children's play area had something for every age. The tents were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff were all so warm and friendly. Special mention to everyone from the young man who greets guests to the grill master, the cook, and Lidia the waitress. The service was excellent.

The one bright spot was the service and entertainment staff, who were friendly and genuinely tried to make things better. The rest of the stay was a disappointment. We paid USD 250 per night, which felt ridiculous given that you can find better service at that price, even with a spa included. No one had told us that the supposed spa was adults only, with children barred even when accompanied by an adult. That was a big letdown. The pool wasn't heated, and its maintenance was poor. Our tent was alarmingly damp, as shown in our videos, and the air conditioning failed. Even the soap dish was placed so high that the kids couldn't wash their hands. There was also a food poisoning incident. While I was trying to vomit in the men's restroom, someone else was having the same problem in the women's restroom. The social media pictures were outdated and didn't show the actual condition of the tents, which lacked the maintenance and comfort described. Their proximity to the highway also meant road noise all night. The bicycle service was practically nonexistent: there were no bikes available, and none had child seats. The electric cars could only be used inside a lounge at the adjacent hotel, driven by hotel staff. They said the outside was wet, though it wasn't. The barbecue was just poor-quality, excessively fatty short ribs, even though flank steak was available and I specifically asked the waitress for it. They also didn't offer the wine brand promoted on social media. Management should seriously rethink what this place offers. The experience felt like a real scam.

This was an experience to forget from start to finish. The whole property shared with the Wyndham Hotel needs general maintenance, and the bathroom was still filthy when I went back twice within four hours. The heated pool wasn't heated. The children's bikes weren't suitable for kids, and the adult bikes were flat, rusty, and had broken seats and handlebars, with no brakes. The children's electric cars were limited to a closed room, which made them hard to enjoy, even though it didn't rain that day. The tents had black moisture stains and looked badly neglected. They sell a service far from what you actually get. They should reassess the gap between what's promised and what's provided.
