Arawi Apart

The Wi-Fi was TERRIBLE, and I wouldn't stay here again. It IS FOR SALE, which might explain the poor maintenance, and it isn't worth what they charge. The refrigerator didn't cool, so I had to throw out groceries on the first day. Some stovetop burners don't work, the oven is falling apart, the mattresses are extremely saggy, and the fans barely spin. There's no air conditioning. We stayed for a week in the apartment listed for "6 people," but I'd say don't go with more than five. It's 3.5 blocks from the beach, clean, and has a very nice pool and garden. Reception staff are usually there during the day, and they clean the room and change towels daily. For us, though, that always happened at midday, right at lunchtime, which was a nuisance. The showers are good and there's a bathtub, but no plug to fill it.

I stayed in the three-room apartment, which was spacious and comfortable, with two full bathrooms, one en suite. The garden is lovely too, with tables where you can sit in the afternoon. It's an ideal place to get a break from the city, and the service was excellent. I'll be back.

Rubén at reception and the cleaning staff were always willing to help. Whenever we needed something, they took care of it straight away. The apartment was comfortable, fully equipped, and everything was in good condition and well maintained. The location was excellent and it was spotlessly clean. We'll definitely return!

The staff at reception were awful, and the place is badly maintained. We arrived at midnight with our two small children asleep, as expected, but they made us pay the rest of the bill before checking in. Couldn't that have waited until morning? The kitchenware was dirty, the electric kettle covered in limescale, and the largest burner had such a weak flame that it took half an hour to heat water for mate before going out. Cooking on it was out of the question. We had the ground-floor three-room apartment, right next to reception and the room where they keep cleaning supplies, so it was noisy and unpleasant. The barbecue area felt like a prison, with barbed wire and debris, and you couldn't walk barefoot. The outdoor tables and chairs were worn and dirty, so we couldn't use those either. The children's play area shown with a slide and swings in the photos was actually just three partly broken swings, and ball games aren't allowed in the park. The so-called heated pool is connected to a solar panel, so its temperature depends on the weather, and it's never very hot on the coast. The Wi-Fi and TV also don't work well. A terrible experience, definitely not recommended.
