Cabañas del Bosque

We spent New Year's here and had a wonderful stay. The pool area is beautiful and very well maintained, right in front of the lovely Sol cabin, which also has a private barbecue area. The bathroom jacuzzi was a great bonus. The place is in great condition. Wi-Fi wasn't great, but Netflix worked fine, and after all, places like this are for disconnecting. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. Florencia was excellent before we arrived, and Susana took great care of us during the stay. The pool heating is very mild, just enough to keep the water from freezing. It felt fantastic during the hot days we had, but on a cooler day the water would still be cold, even with the heating.

We were there for New Year's Eve, my husband, our son, his partner, and me, staying in Las Acacias. Susana, Florencia, and all the staff were impeccable. The facilities are very well looked after, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. My husband needs gluten-free food, and they always had lovely options for him. If you're planning a trip to Mar Azul, this is a beautiful place to book.

Las Piedras was the best part for us: a barbecue space and a whole park of its own, private and separate from the rest of the property. It also has an alarm system, a covered garage, balanced-flue heaters, a beautiful fireplace, a roomy living room and kitchen, and blackout curtains on every window in the dining room. We found everything else perfect, though I think a couple of air conditioners would be needed in summer, and we missed having a filter coffee maker. The location is incredible, tucked into the Mar Azul forest but still near everything. The pool and its surrounding area are impressive. It wasn't fully set up during our stay, but I still got in for a couple of dips. Breakfast came to the cabin at the agreed time, with spectacular homemade cakes, croissants, fresh squeezed juice, and very good choices of coffee, milk, and tea bags. The cabins are comfortable, clean, and fully equipped. The owners are friendly, and Florencia and Susana were super friendly too, clearly enjoying their work. This is one of the best places I've visited in Mar Azul, and I recommend it 100%. Thanks, Susana, for the delicious puddings and other treats, and Florencia for the impeccable service. We'll return!

Piedras Blancas felt warm and homey, and it was lovely, peaceful, and cozy. Everything was spotless and in excellent condition, almost like new. I have no complaints at all. Highly recommended!
