Cabañas Empedrada

The cabins themselves are really nice and comfortable, but we had a frightening incident during our stay. Two people came through the open door while my parents were inside. I suppose they thought nobody was home, even though the lights were on, which we still can't understand. They took a backpack, then ran off when my father appeared. Fortunately, nothing serious happened, but it left us uneasy for the last two days of our vacation. This wasn't a problem with the cabins, but with the fact that they're in a restricted area of town. I think the owners should make guests more aware of that so these things can be avoided as much as possible.

The location is excellent, and there's plenty of shade even though there isn't a carport. The place is comfortable, the service is good, and it has an alarm and a safe. Marta and Ricardo, the owners, are very friendly and courteous. Great value for money, and very competitive.

The cabin is very nice and in a handy spot near the center. But while I was there, the kitchen and bathroom area had a strong rotten-air smell. They need to improve the sewage system.

Very practical, with everything you need for a few days in the Mar Azul forest. The bed frame is the one thing I’d change, maybe add a slatted base. Excellent.
