The only real positives for us were that they accept pets, there's parking, and they lend beach chairs and an umbrella. It's three blocks from the beach and two from downtown. The woman who checked us in was also very friendly. But for what it offers, it was expensive, and I wouldn't return. Our room was small and very worn despite the building looking nice outside. It had excessive humidity, and the bathroom was very dirty. They don't clean every day unless you ask. The air conditioner seemed unused for a long time and blew a lot of dust straight toward the kitchen throughout our stay. With no mosquito screens, opening the windows let in all sorts of bugs, and the room was full of flies, mosquitoes, spiders, and more. Being next to the pool also meant a lot of noise when other guests were there. The bed was large, but the mattress was worn and sagged in the middle, and the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor, repetitive, and low quality. Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable. They only provide one roll of kitchen paper and two rolls of toilet paper, so you have to buy more when they run out. Bring your own hair towels, since none are provided.

The only thing going for Terrazas II was being close to downtown Mar Azul. We left very dissatisfied with the service and comfort compared with other places in the area, and I don't recommend it. We were two couples and two children in a unit supposedly for six, but it looked nothing like the website photos. The sleeping arrangements were extremely cramped: two double beds, or four singles in addition to the double. In one room, a column blocked the door, the wardrobe was broken and filthy, and the pillows smelled and had damp stains. The double bed was in a room with an en-suite bathroom, but there was dirt, insects, exposed wires, and faucets that didn't work, so we had to clean them after every use. Two more beds were in the kitchen, where a sofa had a very hard cot. There were no fitted sheets, just sheets knotted in place, and no pillows were provided. The floors were uneven and had paint stains, while some light fixtures and electrical outlets were broken or incomplete. The electric kitchen didn't work, and the stovetop was chipped, so we couldn't cook. There were very few utensils and not even a dish towel. The refrigerator, glass, shelves, and windows were filthy. The TV had only half the channels and terrible picture quality, and the Wi-Fi was very unstable. The staircase was badly designed and extremely unsafe. Breakfast was repetitive and didn't include what was advertised. The pool wasn't heated and was quite dirty, as were some common areas. The garage was hard to access with a double-cab truck.

The pool is nice and heated, but the place could use some maintenance. Breakfast was included, though it was just eight croissants and some bread, with only a liter of milk every two days. They provided toilet paper on the first day, but didn't replace it, and the towels and sheets weren't changed either.

The apartment was expensive for the service we got. Breakfast was plentiful, but it was the same every day for seven days, just croissants and dulce de leche. Inside, the staircase felt dangerous, the electric stove never worked, and a broken showerhead caused the bathroom to flood.
