Cabañas Sottobosco

The cabin was comfortable and lovely, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was good too. But during the very hot days we stayed, it was hard to sleep. The fans barely helped, and the portable water unit wasn’t enough. Each floor really needs air conditioning. A TV upstairs would also be a welcome addition.

The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were comfortable, and the place itself was cozy. The service was friendly and very good. Still, for the price, the facilities need more cleaning and upkeep. Downstairs, the bathroom is cramped and its door is broken. The bedroom is tiny and uncomfortable, with a cement bunk rather than a wooden bed and mattresses on top. There’s also a door to a tiny balcony with a small grill that’s very difficult to use. I wouldn’t stay again.

We had a pleasant four-night stay and would return. The cabin was comfortable for the two of us, though it’s meant for two or three people. The basic breakfast was fine. The sheets could be better, and the kitchen needs more utensils. Location-wise, it’s a block and a half from the beach, around four blocks from Mar de las Pampas center, and about the same distance from the Mar Azul pedestrian area.

Romina was incredibly attentive and friendly, and Gustavo kept track of things and made sure we were there for arrival. It’s great that they welcome pets. The house is bright and spacious, with large windows, a kitchen, refrigerator, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and fans that kept it cool enough without air conditioning. There’s parking and a grill at the house as well as one in the complex. The beach is only two blocks away, and the center is about six blocks away. Cleanliness could use a little attention, especially the dust and cobwebs, but otherwise everything was perfect. Fully recommended.
