The bathroom leaked all over the place, leaving the floor soaked, and the hallways were awful. The hotel isn’t family friendly, more like a hostel, and even the cleaning staff sleep there. The smell of marijuana smoke in the room was unbearable. Breakfast was even worse. It was advertised as included, but they got offended when we asked for the receipt, which listed both new and old items like the toast. I booked a package through MS Viajes de Pilar, and they first offered me a different hotel. They sent a photo, and it looked nice. Somehow we ended up at Hotel Po after a change, and the place was awful. The staff were rude and unfriendly most of the time. The afternoon reception shift was the one exception. Don’t even ask the cleaning lady anything, she’ll bark at you and won’t speak. We asked them not to clean the room, but they came in anyway and did nothing. Since they didn’t clean or sweep, I can only assume they checked our things. There were no curtains on the windows. I had to hang towels so people outside couldn’t see in so much, and I could sleep with the window open because the fan was impossible to turn on and seemed ready to fall over. It was a hotel of horrors. The way they treated us during the stay was truly disrespectful, especially after we’d made an effort to have a nice vacation.

We stayed one night, with breakfast included, and the place left a lot to be desired. The carpeted elevator was filthy, the room smelled musty, and the bed wobbled. The bathroom was okay, but the tiny TV was a joke. Breakfast was the best part, though even that was bad: coffee, milk, and hot water, with dulce de leche and cream all mixed together in little cups. The croissants were kept by the maids in the service area. The place is falling apart. A motel would be better.

The only good thing here is the location. We paid cash for two days, but after everything turned out so badly, they wouldn’t refund the second day. Nothing worked, including the bathroom in our room, so we had to shower in another room. When we went to ask for towels, we were told there weren’t any left. Breakfast was just tap water, and even that was worse than it sounds. In short, don’t come.

The mattresses were nice, but the furniture and TVs are very old. WiFi didn’t work, and only one electrical outlet worked.

The staff are very friendly, and the bathroom was acceptable with very good shower pressure. The room itself was ugly, though, and the location was its only other good point. I’d give it fewer stars if I could. There were two single beds. One had a nice mattress, the other was flattened on one side, with springs you could feel, like a slide. Its pillow was paper thin, so I folded it in half. If I pushed one bed against the wall, it blocked the door from opening, maybe that could count as a security measure. There was a constant food smell. The TV looked like it was from the 1800s, with a picture that jumped all over the place. It had no remote and was mounted high. Unless you’re 1.90m or taller, it wouldn’t be comfortable to use. We were lucky to have an umbrella pole to reach the buttons. Housekeeping was almost nonexistent. They cleaned the room only once in the four days we were there and didn’t change the sheets. Each person got one large towel, not even a hand towel. For breakfast, each person gets two croissants, and there’s water, hot and cold, milk, coffee, cocoa, and tea to help yourself to. That’s it.
