Hotel Union

I’d made a reservation for three days ahead and traveled 500 km, only to find the hotel closed because of boiler problems. They had all my contact details and knew about the situation first thing that morning, or even earlier, but no one bothered to call me. The customer service was appalling. When I called, they just said the booking website intermediary was responsible for contacting guests. I’ll never book with this hotel again, either directly through its website or otherwise.

Delicious breakfast, and a great hotel for the price. Good, pleasant, and affordable. Highly recommended!! : )

For what you get, the price is way too high. There was no air conditioning, mini-fridge, or Wi-Fi in the room, and booking through an app seemed to lead to attempts to charge extra. Our bathroom didn't even have a toilet paper holder. It all felt very mediocre for the cost.

The person serving breakfast was friendly, but I still wouldn't bring my grandmother here unless they improve things. I stayed three nights and was charged differently from the Despegar rate. They also don't accept credit cards. Breakfast was mostly flour and sugar: sweet dough, white bread with jam and butter, and coffee with milk. There was no fresh fruit or cheese, just fruit canned in syrup. For a hotel supposedly aimed at retirees, that seems especially sad when guests may have diabetes or other dietary restrictions. I'm young, but I noticed. They provided shampoo but no conditioner, and the little hotel soaps weren't in individual wrappers. I had no way to know if they had been used. For me, this hotel wasn't worth the money.
