Cabañas Arenas del Faro

The covered carports were a real help during storms, especially in an area with ancient trees. The warmth of the rooms and the forest around Doña Josefa's cabin, really her “home,” make the place feel special and magical. Two weeks there pass faster than you'd like. The owners, Jorge and Susana, are so warm and hospitable. After many visits to Arenas del Faro, they've become dear friends, and we miss the place more than words can say. Thank you, Arenas del Faro!

You can wander through the woods, stop by the town square, or look around the market for its lovely handmade goods without needing a car. There’s also a mini-market just two blocks away for anything you forgot. Doña Josefa's cabin has everything for a great few days, with space and quiet to enjoy nature and time with yourself or family. It’s just right for mate, board games, grilling, long chats, and lingering over meals. The hosts were excellent. We’ll be back!

Jorge and Susana made the stay feel special, even providing a high chair and baby bathtub for our 10-month-old. Those little details were so useful. Their cabins are peaceful and surrounded by nature, with beautiful decor and lovely paintings in every corner. They welcomed us with a delicious breakfast. Thank you, Susana and Jorge ❤️

Jorge and Susana made us feel completely at home, taking care of every detail with so much warmth. Even before we booked Abuela Emilia's cabin, they patiently answered our many questions. We’re so grateful, and already sure we’ll return again and again. You’re wonderful hosts, Jorge and Susana, thank you for such a lovely vacation! The cabin was spacious, comfortable, and practical, with everything we needed amid a beautiful forest setting. There’s a large yard with a private grill, two bathrooms, and great hot water pressure. The alarm gave us peace of mind when we went out, and there was plenty of storage so our things didn’t end up in a mess. We had cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, linens, towels, and dish towels, and they replaced them when we needed it. They’d also stocked basics like sugar, salt, cocoa, coffee, and tea. A welcome tray with amazing bakery cookies and pastries was a lovely touch, along with delicious butter and homemade jam. We found the cabin through Google and booked without having met them beforehand. It turned into a dream vacation.
