Hotel Marino

I’d stayed here before and spent several days this time. The reception staff were all excellent, and the room was fine. But breakfast was miserly: one croissant and two little rolls. Mr. Owner, that’s far too little to serve as breakfast. That alone means I wouldn’t come back.

The room was comfortable, and the bathroom had plenty of space. Some friends and I were looking for somewhere to stay last year, but everything was booked. When we got to this hotel, the service was excellent. They just asked us to wait until our room was ready, and the stay turned out superb.

I couldn’t find anywhere to stay in Mar del Plata, so I started looking around the area. At one hotel, the owner, apparently, since she was at reception, and a young man kindly found me a room for the night. It was spotless and had a TV, mini-fridge, and electric kettle. Breakfast was varied and complete, served 50 meters from the hotel. I’d definitely return.

Playa Grande is only a few blocks away, with restaurants and shops right there. It’s easy to get around on foot, though the tourist area can be crowded. The hotel is quiet and simple, just as described, and I’d recommend it. The room was clean and clearly well maintained. The bathroom is spacious and has a hairdryer, shampoo, and soap, things some newer hotels don’t offer, plus there’s a mini-fridge. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft.
