The one bright spot was the staff: housekeeping were excellent, and so were the receptionists. But the building feels like a tenement, and the owner should read this. The room had a musty smell and no ventilation. Its windows looked onto the hallway, so with them open anyone walking by could see inside. The shower was pressed against the wall, meaning you showered while touching it. The toilet tank wouldn't refill; after we reported it and nothing was done, we had to use the wastebasket to bring water. Breakfast was poor quality, apart from the croissants, which were decent. 😅

We traveled with the Punto company, and the stay was awful. The hotel seems not to have been renovated since it was built. The cleanliness was deplorable: when we arrived, the bathroom by reception was filthy. In our room, we pulled back the covers and found pubic hairs on the sheets. The rooms and bathrooms were tiny, and mold covered the bathroom tiles. There are only two cleaners for the whole hotel. We spoke to Leandro, the hotel's "coordinator," who said two employees was enough. It certainly gave us the impression that labor abuse was being accepted. The beds were in terrible shape, too. Some mattresses had a sheet of EVA foam, while the spring ones had springs sticking out. The box springs sagged badly, so you'd be in for a rough time with a mattress without springs. Breakfast was mediocre, just toast and croissants, some stale and some better. Inside the hotel it was hotter than outside, with no ventilation or air conditioning. It's next to a nightclub, so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were awful, with music audible in every room. If the location weren't there, the place would be falling apart. The experience was awful, and I wouldn't recommend it at all. The other negative reviews are real.

The place is old, but clean and very comfortable, with a particularly good location. Anahí at reception was excellent, kind and attentive, and the cleaning staff were excellent as well. The breakfast attendant, though, was unfriendly and unkind. Breakfast itself was quite limited. The elevator was a problem: it kept going out of service. They would supposedly repair it, then it would break down again soon after.

We traveled to Mar del Plata with Blanca Paloma / Rocío Tour from San Juan in January 2019, and the stay was horrible. The first room had damp patches on the walls, dirty bathroom mirrors, torn towels, worn sheets, and no ventilation. We asked to change rooms and got a larger one, but the conditions were much the same. The mattresses sagged, there was no fan, and the musty smell made it impossible to stay in the room. I don't know how this could be called a hotel. Even with no ventilation in the new room, my father asked the receptionist for help. The receptionist told him to take a taxi to another hotel to find a standing fan. The late Dr. Falcón, legal representative of Blanca Paloma / Rocío Tour, acknowledged the poor treatment and promised compensation for the damage, but it never came.

It was a horrible stay. There was no ventilation, and the humidity made it feel like you could barely breathe. The bathrooms have no windows, so all that moisture stays trapped in the rooms. Zero points across the board; this place doesn't deserve a star. Most of the staff weren't helpful. They were always complaining or giving dirty looks. I don't recommend it.
