Al Sol Mendoza

After nearly two years travelling around Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Argentina, this was by far the worst place I stayed. I absolutely don't recommend it. In the first room, there was no air conditioning, hot water, or power. The second room only had AC in one of its rooms, and again there was no hot water. Nobody offered a refund or even an apology. When I asked the manager for a satisfactory solution, she suddenly acted as if she couldn't understand or speak English, got frustrated with my basic Spanish, then yelled at me and tried to throw us out, picking up our bags and hurling them down the hallway. This was after a 17-hour bus ride and a 90-minute wait on the street for someone to arrive and let us in, even though they knew we were coming. It was a quiet Sunday evening, two weeks before Christmas, and apparently the manager thought this was acceptable service. I eventually found somewhere else to stay. They'd heard about the problems at this place and felt sorry for us, but could only take us for part of the time we'd planned to be in Mendoza. The whole trip was marred, and our memories of Argentina were tainted by the three days at this horror house. They didn't refund any of our booking fee. Utterly despicable. This is the edited version of how bad it was.

The rooms were presented impeccably, very clean, and well equipped. A very good place. We'll return.

Susana and Patricia are attentive and very friendly. The apartments are comfortable, spacious, and excellent value for the money. They provide towels, linens, soap, and lots of kitchen items. Shampoo and breakfast aren't included.
