Alma Mendoza Hotel

The beds were comfortable, and the staff were polite, though not especially helpful. The rooms are so cramped that two people can barely get through to use the tiny bathroom. One pillow had no case, there wasn’t a bath towel, and they hadn’t provided even individual soaps. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff were friendly, but the hotel was truly awful. Breakfast meant taking a voucher to a very unpleasant café elsewhere, since nothing is served at the hotel. The photos didn’t reflect the place, which felt old and run-down despite its good location. We paid $41,000 for a room for two, but had to ask before they gave us the air conditioning and TV remotes. The towels and sheets were poor, and the bedside lamp had no bulb.

Camila at reception was warm, helpful, and paid attention to everything we needed. My family and I had a wonderful stay, right in the center of Mendoza, and the service was excellent. We’d love to come back for another winter vacation and enjoy Mendoza again. I recommend it!

We arrived to find that, despite booking and paying in full a month earlier, they hadn’t registered us. They put us in a spare room that wasn’t the one I’d booked. It was cold and extremely run-down, and showering left the bathroom wet. The toilet was so close to the sink that you had to sit sideways. Breakfast didn’t look like the photos and meant leaving the hotel for a fast-food place. For this ridiculously high price, there are better hotels.
