Hotel Panamericano Mendoza

The shower is right in the middle of the bathroom, with no separate area or curtain, so the whole room gets wet. It dries quickly, and there's plenty of hot water, but I wasn't used to that setup. That's the one thing that would keep me from staying longer than a couple of days. I asked reception about hair dryers, but they didn't have any; I don't know if they were temporarily out or never had them. Otherwise, this is an inexpensive, simple place that's very clean and well maintained. It's clearly an older hotel, but it's freshly painted, and the sheets and towels were clean and in good condition. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the rooms had heating and were comfortable. Breakfast is tea, coffee, or milk with two croissants. Secure parking is on the next block. Good for a short stay 😁.

We got there at 6 am on Friday and they had a room available, welcoming us very warmly. It was a perfect place to rest before continuing on our way. Breakfast was fantastic, simple but delicious!

I stayed with a group from July 21st to July 24th, and I absolutely don't recommend this place. It was dirty, the food was awful, and the breakfast looked nothing like the picture. The bathroom was a disaster, the sheets were torn, and the towels were old and ripped. I could only shower when there was water, since they cut it off, and there wasn't enough hot water. Even a cheap hotel can be clean, tidy, attentive, and friendly. To make matters worse, one of my towels disappeared and I couldn't get it back. I've never had such a bad experience anywhere.

We showed up without a reservation one day and they warmly welcomed us and found us a room. The place was cozy, very clean, and quiet. The staff were helpful, friendly, and suggested several places for us to visit. I'd highly recommend it if you want a quiet spot in the city.
