Vecchia Roma Hotel

The reception staff were excellent, and the rooms were comfortable, with good beds, clean sheets and towels, air conditioning, and a Smart TV with cable and Netflix. We stayed four days on the full package at KM1, and the location was excellent. The bathroom was standard, though the floor got a little wet when showering and needed a quick wipe. Breakfast and dinner were quite good, with an appetizer, main course, and dessert. What bothered us was the way things were rushed near the end. Dinner came out very quickly, with plates cleared as soon as we finished and the next course brought in, then they immediately started charging for drinks. It felt like they wanted us out. On our last morning, breakfast ran from 6:30 to 7:45 and the bus left at 8:00. Staff rudely insisted we check out and hand over our key before breakfast, hurrying us through the meal so we'd all be crowded into reception with our bags. That needs improvement. Check-in hadn't even been until 2:00 PM when we arrived, and being pushed out of the rooms so early is unpleasant. In every other respect, they were fine.

For a two-star hotel, the price is very affordable and the room was adequate, though basic and not smelling very fresh. The location isn't especially strategic, but a taxi gets you to the city center quickly. The staff treated us very well and were always friendly, and our room was cleaned spotlessly every day. Breakfast had good coffee and bread, but the croissants and pastries were stale. There was a nice range of jams and spreads.

The room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, a minibar, and a TV. The only letdown was breakfast. The staff were really friendly. For a two-star place, I'd highly recommend it.

The hallway and rooms had a strong smell, and the bathroom flooded every time I showered because the toilet overflowed. Wi-Fi didn't reach my room, not even on the first floor. When I asked about fixing it, they only said it should be working. The room phone was ancient and didn't work either. Breakfast was just pastries. For the same price, they could have had something nicer, like fruit or cream cheese. NOT recommended.
