BEAUTIFUL !!!!!

The setting surrounded by nature and the beautiful view are the only reasons I’m giving it two stars. We stayed in the Big Cabin, and there were problems throughout. When I booked, I was told staff would be at the store every day. The next day nobody was there, and when I asked, I was told the person who worked there wouldn’t return until the following day. The cabin’s double bedroom felt scary to sleep in because the floor is sunken and seems close to collapsing. We couldn’t use the air conditioning because it leaked water everywhere. There were so many bats the first night that we couldn’t enjoy being outside. On a rainy day, water came through the kitchen ceiling, so I put down a bucket to keep the floor dry. It also leaked through the side windows and soaked the sofas. We had to take everything out to dry the next day. The sewage smell outside was overwhelming. The pool was always dirty, and the kitchen sink was completely clogged, overflowing and taking half an hour to drain. When we left, no one was there to collect the keys, and there wasn’t even a message about our stay. We left the keys on the counter and went. They charge a premium price. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

The scenery and the peace and quiet are dreamy, and the place and location are beautiful. Sadly, that was the only redeeming part of our stay. The service was terrible, and the staff were never there when we needed them. Our cabin leaked, had sunken floors that seemed close to collapsing, and was full of bats. The pool was filthy, and outside our large cabin the sewage smell was overwhelming. Definitely not worth the price. 👎

The owners made us feel so welcome. They were kind, caring, and attentive, and the cabin was comfortable with everything needed for a wonderful stay. Getting to the river means an easy, fairly short, accessible hike. There’s horseback riding, a huge pool that’s a pleasure to use, and incredible sunsets to relax and watch. The place feels like paradise. It was a beautiful experience, and I already want to return.
