The staff were kind, efficient, and helpful, and check-in was easy. We got a 10% discount at checkout for paying in cash (pesos). The hotel is centrally located downtown, and we stayed 3 days while visiting relatives. Our room was large, with a queen size bed, several mirrors, clean linens in good condition, and a bank of large windows. The AC worked properly, but the curtains wouldn’t slide open, so the room stayed dark and we couldn’t open the windows for fresh air. I noticed some mold around the window frames when I tried to move the curtains. The bathroom was adequate but dated. Hot water took quite a while to come through, and the shower basin filled up because it drained too slowly, leaving us standing in soapy water. There were no hooks for hanging towels. The floorboards were very uneven, with sharp edges sticking up around the room, so we had to be careful walking barefoot. Breakfast was minimal: fruit, juice, coffee, tea, cereal, toast, jam, and butter.

The internet was lousy.

The place is excellent and very well located, and the reception staff were excellent too, friendly and helpful. The bathroom in our double room on the 5th floor was too small. It would also make things easier if guests could get more than one key card per room. When two or more people want to head out separately, they have to coordinate to get the card.
