Las Mananitas Casa Hotel

At about 5:15 in the morning, the doorbell started ringing and someone kept banging on the door. It went on until around 5:45, when we got up to wake the night watchman, who was asleep in an open room with no guests. We eventually found out the person at the door was the owner. We tried to sleep again, but the unpleasant feeling had already set in. When we went down for breakfast around 8:00, the owner was there and didn't apologize for the early morning disturbance. At checkout, the amount charged didn't match our platform reservation: the website showed $37, but we paid $53. They said parking wasn't included and blamed a platform error. Mistakes happen, but I don't think guests should have to cover the difference when the advertised price was lower.

It's just three blocks from the center, and the prices are very affordable. The owners run this beautiful place themselves, and they're super friendly, down-to-earth people.

Everything needed for a pleasant stay is here, though it's a simple place. The service is excellent, and their dedication to customers really shows.

There was no adequate response to our complaints about the loud, persistent noise through much of the early morning. It made the restful night we expected impossible, and around 2:00 a.m. the hotel suggested we move to other accommodation, which made no sense when the problem was inside the establishment. We finally called the police for some peace and quiet; they arrived around 3:00 a.m. The stress and discomfort were hard to describe. Afterward, we asked for a refund and got no immediate response. Only after insisting were we offered a partial refund, with basic services cited as the reason. That doesn't seem acceptable when rest, the main service, wasn't provided. The whole experience felt disorganized and showed a lack of responsibility and regard for guests. A hotel should provide basic quiet and know how to handle conflicts, and that didn't happen here. If you need a place to rest, I wouldn't rely on this one. I hope sharing what happened helps other travelers avoid the same experience.
