Hotel La Golondrina

They took a deposit and then changed the price, saying the other person had made a mistake. Nancy was domineering and overbearing, and when I made a legitimate complaint, the supposed manager or owner threatened me with the police. This caused financial and emotional harm to my family and me. They speculate on seasonal demand, but there are limits, and I believe the harm they cause won’t go unpunished. I’d give them -10 if that were an option. Calling them scammers is putting it mildly.

I’m furious. I arrived Friday night for my two-night reservation, which was supposed to be paid at the hotel, and found out they’d cancelled it. They blamed my credit card even though it works perfectly, and I had nowhere else to stay. Don’t book here, they’ll scam you!

The beds were really comfortable, and the rooms I stayed in were excellent. Housekeeping was very good, too. Breakfast is included, and the location is excellent, with parking!

The breakfast was poor, just reheated toast, and they charged a different price from the one advertised. The room bathrooms had no water, and the shower was faulty and leaked. Nancy’s service was awful. She overcharged us for an extra day, then came aggressively to make us leave and threatened to call the police. They did end up coming. Not recommended.
