Monserrat Bungalows

The microwave and refrigerator were in good shape, but several other things let us down. The rooms were just okay, the pool was in poor condition, and more than half the TV channels were out. The air conditioning didn't work, while the fan made a terrible noise. Some of the games were broken and felt a bit unsafe.

The pool was excellent, the location was good, and the staff gave very good service. Our air conditioning was out, but they fixed it the next day, even though it was Saturday. Four of us were comfortable enough for our four-day stay, and I'd return. The place could use updating: the sink is inside the shower, and some units have been renovated, but ours hadn't.

The location made it easy to leave the car parked: downtown is five blocks away, and Shaw, the second most important street, is one block away. Restaurants, pastry shops, and supermarkets are all within four blocks. The complex is very clean, and paying the separate charge for bungalow cleaning is worthwhile. The owner was friendly and always quick to respond. There are four grills and a deck with tables and chairs, and the bungalow bathrooms are in perfect condition. The master bedroom has air conditioning. The pool is heated, and it was clean and in good condition. A few things could be better. There weren't enough dishes, though the owner explained why. The pillows were terrible, so next time I'd bring one from home. The bunk bed in the apartment felt dangerous without a top guardrail, and we lowered the mattress for our son's safety. The closets are poorly decorated, the walls are thin enough that you hear neighbors, and the TV is an old 14" set that could be replaced with something more modern. Our family had a lovely, quiet stay, with the beach nearby and just steps from Bungee. The owners were excellent and friendly, and the place has a nice park with games and facilities, a pool, and grills. For Pinamar, the price is outstanding for what you get. There's Direct TV, hot water, dishes, a microwave, and a refrigerator, and it's pet-friendly too. Highly recommended!
