El Castaño Apart

Flor and Gustavo were always looking after what we needed, and the service was excellent. The pool was sparkling clean and breakfast was delicious. It’s a beautiful, quiet spot that’s still accessible, with shops nearby if you need something. We’ll definitely be back.

We stayed for two nights, and the cabin was lovely, tidy, and very spacious. There’s a little private garden where we had breakfast looking at the mountains, which you can also see from the living room, bedroom, and kitchen. The shower had great pressure, and the pool was pleasantly warm, unlike the freezing pools we’d found elsewhere. Breakfast was good, especially the croissants and warm bread. Flor was wonderful and always ready to help. There was an internet issue, but they fixed it within a couple of hours, as quickly as possible given how remote the apartment is. Keep in mind you’ll need a car. There are a few small shops, a café, and places to eat, but they’re a bit of a walk away. My husband, daughter, and I loved our stay and will definitely return.

Flor was attentive and helpful, and having a private garden for each cabin is a big plus. The cabins themselves are beautiful, modern, spacious, and comfortable. The complex is quite remote. There are two stores nearby, but not many choices for food or other necessities, so a car is essential. That said, it’s a great place to relax and get away from everything. Cleanliness in the cabin and the bedding could be better.

The cabins are high quality, comfortable, and have lovely views and good access. But during our nearly week-long stay, the cleaning, rubbish removal, and fresh sheets and towels promised every two days never happened. We also found some kitchen items missing, and none of the knives would cut properly. It’s a shame, because these are otherwise beautiful cabins. We had to carry our garbage to the shared bin on Los Condores Street all week.
