Hostel Haus

It's a little way from the main town, and our taxi driver had trouble finding the place. But if you want somewhere quiet and have a vehicle, or don't mind walking, it's ideal. This is a very nice place to stay in Iguazu. The hostess is a wonderful lady and is willing to prepare a lovely meal if you'd like one. 😊

We had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday: great food, lovely people, and a fantastic place to stay. Lorena was a wonderful, very helpful host. Thanks so much for your hospitality :-)

The rooms are spacious, and the service is friendly and personal. Lorena speaks perfect French. There's a quiet setting, though a taxi into the city costs $4. Breakfast is incredible, and the garden has avocado and fruit trees whose produce you can eat right off the tree. Lorena was kind to each guest beyond her usual service, and treated us to a delicious dinner and incredible guacamole.

The house is near several attractions and not too far from the city center, so we mostly got around on foot. If walking isn't for you, Lorena can share numbers for reliable taxi drivers. I hope we can come back soon, it's definitely a place I'd recommend. Lorena greeted us on arrival and immediately explained the attractions and the best times to visit. She even lent us her bicycles, and was always attentive to what we needed. Soledad, who helps with cleaning, was attentive too. The rooms are cleaned daily, and breakfast is very complete. They also offer dinner for an additional cost if you don't feel like going out. One night, they let us have a bonfire. We found the place through a lodging website and contacted Lorena to ask about available dates. She confirmed them and let us pay directly by bank transfer, which gave us a significant discount. The cats and dogs on the property were a big plus for me since I adore pets. They were super clean and friendly, never attacked anyone, and I even got two cats to sleep with me.
