The valley and mountain scenery from every room is wonderful. We found our room and bathroom comfortable and spotless, and the service was excellent. We loved our stay, especially considering the good value.

The two women working there gave excellent service, even though for several days there was only one person on duty. The hotel itself has a lot going for it: a roomy space, comfortable mattresses, cotton sheets, tasteful decor, and sweeping views. But breakfast was sparse, and the bread seemed stale. We stayed four nights and were told they don’t clean the rooms or change the sheets. I even had to ask for the toilet paper to be taken away. The entrance sits on a bend, so you need to be careful driving in, and there’s a pothole they haven’t filled. A sign advertising bathrooms and hot water felt out of place and took away from the hotel’s quality and privacy. The garden looked neglected too. I got the sense that maintenance and staffing hadn’t been invested in.

Purmamarca is beautiful, but Luna Daniela was a terrible last resort for us during Carnival, when everything else was booked. We stayed just one day and had no electricity or water. When we asked for hot water, the person there acted as if we were being rude. There was no friendliness or customer service at all. The building seems run-down and abandoned, with dirty, broken walls and hollow wooden-board doors. Trash and bottles were piled at the entrance. One rude person seemed to handle everything, and asking for anything felt like asking a favor. It had an almost apocalyptic feel, which is such a shame. There was nobody available to hear complaints or take responsibility for the lack of service.
